O Brien Whitmarsh to miss Derry clash

TOTAP believe that at least three members of the first team squad will miss Friday’s trip to Derry, due to the leaving cert PE examination which takes place on Friday afternoon. Most prominent of those missing the trip will be regular first team starter, Joe O Brien Whitmarsh, in what will be a blow to the management team of Liam Buckley and Richie Holland.

CCFC did with the help of a well-known league of Ireland personality, locate a school up the country that would have allowed the players to sit the exam there and then continue to Derry afterwards, but this was unfortunately ruled out by the examination overlords and now all the students must sit their exam in Cork.
