Matt Healy not signing for Cork City

Free Agent, Matt Healy has informed the club that he wont be signing for them on a pernament basis. 

In a major blow to City's ambition to remain in the premier division, the midfielder who has started fifteen games for City this season, and who has scored twice, has decided to try is luck on the continent, with Belguim being his most likely destination. Healy informed colleagues of his decision, yesterday. 

Healy's decision to move to Belguim should not be seen as a reflection on the contract offered to him by City.

Liam Buckley had set a deadline for Healy to reach a decision, emphasising the clubs need to source a replacement should Healy decide that his future lay away from the club. The search for that replacement now needs to begin in earnest.
