Hakkinen to face spell on the sidelines

Cork City's popular Finnish defender Jonas Hakkinen, has been diagnosed with a crack in his fibula and faces six weeks or so on the sidelines.

In what is another blow to an already under strength squad, the loss of the Finnish defender for six weeks futher limits the options that manager, Liam Buckley has at the back. 

It is also a big blow to Hakkinen who has only started eleven games this season due to a number of injury issues. In those eleven games, City have conceded 16 goals, that compares to the 24 goals conceded in the twelve games that he hasnt started.  

It remains to be seen if City will feel the need to bring in defensive cover before the transfer window shuts.
